Sonic Brotherhood Episode 11

Knuckles, Edward Elric the Dog, Armstrong the Rhino, Vector, Mighty, Ray, Espio, Charmy, Saffron, and Sticks all walk out of the train station.

Vector: Hey Knuckles, are we rescuing your people first?

Knuckles: We're going to start the mission soon, but Major Armstrong wants to see something first.

Edward: So Major, tell me what's going on already?

Armstrong: Hmm? Hahaha.

Sticks: Geez, he's freaking us out.

Knuckles: Ah! There he is.

They see Jace the Hedgehog getting off the bench, then standing up.

Jace: Hey, Knux.

Edward is shocked.

Edward: How did Jace get here before us?!

Jace: I actually got here last night, but on the other hand, follow me to the coffee shop. I have someone to meet you.

Everyone walks into the coffee shop and see a monkey with a staff.

???: Hey, guys.

Edward: What the?

Jace: This is Ken Kahn, leader of the late Dragon Kingdom Freedom Fighters, and a "cyborg monkey".

Kahn: Nice to meet you, Edward Elric. I've heard a lot about you. Please allow me to take you all somewhere, I'm warping you all to the place I live in.

Edward: What is that place?

Everyone in front of Edward smirks.

Jace: "The Dragon Kingdom"!

BORD'WAN, THE DEAD VILLAGE 


The warp ring appears in the Temple of the Golden Lotus, Knuckles, his team, Edward, Jace, Armstrong, and Kahn arrive while Li Yuen, Li Moon stand in front of them.

Li Yuen: Greetings all of you. I've see you brought some visitors, Kahn. I bet my son would be glad to meet up with you all here.

Edward: "Your son?"

Mustang and his sister, who is a red fox and has black hair. wears the same clothes as her daughter but is yellow.

Mustang: Well it looks like the visitors came here sooner than we expected.

Mustang introduces his family members.

Mustang: Please allow me to introduce to my family, the lion is my father, Li Yuen.

Li Yuen: It's nice to meet you all.

Mustang: My sister, Li Suna.

Li Suna: It's a pleasure to meet you.

Yen, who is also a fox, who has armor on comes in.

Mustang: And say hello to my sister's husband, Yen.

Yen: Sorry I took so long, was out doing my duty.

Mustang: That's a life of a soldier, Yen. And this is my niece, Li Moon.

Li Moon: It's great to see you all here.

Edward: Hey Colonel!

Mustang: Hm?

Edward: It's great seeing you have a family, but that's not the point.

Mustang: Then what's your point?

Edward: MY POINT IS WHY ARE YOU HERE AND WHY DID YOU DRAG ME AND ARMSTRONG HERE TO SEE THE MURDERER OF THE 2ND LT.?!!

Li Yuen: Look behind, young one.

Edward and the others with him turn around and Maria Ross the Lioness appears.

Jace: Way to play that game, Mustang.

Armstrong is very happy to see that Maria Ross is alive.

Armstrong: I WAS WORRIED SICK ABOUT YOU, 2ND LT. ROSS!!

Armstrong tries to hug Ross but she dodges, refusing to have one.

Armstrong: I'M GLAD YOU'RE ALIVE!! WHAT A JOY!!

Ross: Ok, you're glad to see me alive, so don't go too crazy, Major!

Jace: You see, you can't hide someone who's supposed to be dead within both Amestris and New Mobotropolis. The safest option was to get her out of it.

Edward: So she wasn't the murderer after all?

Jace: Go ask her yourself.

Edward: So the Colonel did all that because he knew about it?

Jace: Just think about it. It was obviously suspicious. Staging a suspect take-in in front of a crowd, and making a public disgrace by making headlines about murders within the military. It was too much of a performance on their part.

(Flashback)

In Freedom HQ Mustang haves a conversation with Team Fighters about Maria Ross except for Edward Elric and Alphonse Elric the Dog.

Mustang: So what are your thoughts on this?

Mina: I have heard of Maria Ross when Maes Hughes was alive.

Winry: So did I...

Sonic: Isn't this development being too flashy in nature, eh?

A call from the screen pops up.

Tails: A call from Nicole.

Mustang: It seems like Lt. Hawkeye has manage to get Nicole. Tails, let me talk to her.

Mustang: Nicole, I heard Maria Ross is being accused of murder. What is your plan?

Nicole (Sound Only): She's in the detention center, so I'm going to have Barry barge in through security. 

Barry (Sound Only): Which is the second passage way at that Warehouse Street. That gloomy place is fine for killing someone.

Everyone in Freedom HQ, Falman, and Nicole: DON'T KILL ANYBODY THERE!!

Barry (Sound Only): Alright, Alright, Alright...! I won't kill anybody since you all are worried about Missy getting pissed off at me, right? Well, looks like I'm going to have to knock these guys out in the detention center then.

Mustang: Good. Nicole, one more thing?

Nicole (Sound Only): Hm?

Mustang: Can you make a realistic looking skeletal corpse using Nanites?

Nicole (Sound Only): I can do that.

Mustang: Good now I can make a burnt corpse. 

Nicole (Sound Only): But most importantly, I have taken care of 2nd Lt. Ross's transcript.

Mustang: Now things are going to be interesting, let's get going. Have the Elric Brothers over at the Detention Center, but do not tell them me and Nicole's secret. Jace is going to handle this problem. 

Sonic: Even better, Jace will escort her to the Tails's Tornado. Then they'll take off after the guards are gone in the alleyway.

Mustang: Sounds like a good idea to me.

Sonic: Jace, Tails, you get the tornado to the warehouse, quickly and hide it in the dark.

Jace: And I'll make sure all doors are closed, brother.

Sonic: Good, Nicole will give you a signal to both of you.

(End of Flashback)

Jace, Edward, and Monkey Kahn talk.

Jace: Nicole also had contacted Monkey Kahn. He is the one who helped us lead her to a safer place. 

Kahn: In return for the Freedom Fighters helping me to defeat the Iron Dominion before, I accepted Nicole's offer to have Maria Ross take shelter in the Dragon Kingdom. I have escorted her soon after Jace and Tails arrived with Tails's Tornado.

Jace: If it had been settled before the escape, afterwards it would...

(Flashback)

Ross runs into Mustang while escaping in the ally.

Mustang: You're Maria Ross, correct?

Mustang opens up the dumpster, picking up a realistic corpse and throwing it on the ground in front of her.

Mustang: Here is the dummy.

Ross: Huh?!

Mustang snaps his fingers, using a flame attack towards the dummy, burning it.

Mustang: Tonight, you shall die here.

Ross: Huh?

Mustang grabs Ross.

Mustang: Get in the dumpster, quickly.

Ross: Eh? 

Mustang throws Ross in the dumpster.

Ross: WAAH!!

Ross then sees Jace.

Ross: ...?

Jace: Follow me.

Jace looks at Maria Ross's prison bracelet.

Jace: Oh... Let me get that off for you.

Jace cuts Maria Ross's prison bracelet off, opening the dumpster, giving it to Mustang.

Jace: Mustang.

Mustang: Hm?

Mustang takes the prison bracelet.

Mustang: Thanks, I can't forget about this.

Jace closes the dumpster and gets back down.

Jace: Now we're all set up.

Tails meets up with Jace and Ross.

Tails: I just got here, follow us to the tornado.

Then they hear Edward yelling at Mustang outside.

Edward: What's going on... TELL ME WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?! EXPLAIN YOURSELF!!

Tails: Edward is here. It seems like he's yelling at the Colonel. 

Jace: I bet the Colonel will handle the rest.

Tails: Right! Let's go.

(End of Flashback)

Jace: It was there that I have met Monkey Kahn.

Mustang, Armstrong, and Ross talk.

Ross: As it is, Kahn has sent me to this very nice looking temple.

Mustang: To arrange a link up, here is another of my activities.

Armstrong: We were to wait at the train station in a town and receive communications from Jace.

Mustang: Well it's a good thing you've brought Fullmetal with you.

Armstrong: Oh that wasn't me, though I was involved, it was Knuckles who did it.

Mustang looks at Knuckles.

Mustang: Oh the Guardian of Angel Island came to. Isn't it about saving your people?

Knuckles: Yes...

Mustang: I have sent two of my subordinates to a village called "Bord'wan". There isn't much people living there, but Jace did know where that traveler lived in.

Knuckles: He must be our key into finding my people, even for Julie-Su and my family.

Mustang: Those people do mean something important to you, do they?

Knuckles: They do. I hope with the amount of people we have, we can be able to rescue them and restore the Master Emerald to Angel Island.

Mustang talks to everyone.

Mustang: Oh by the way, I have pieces of paper of a bunch of Homunculi that we all encountered.

Everyone gathers up and sees sketches of Dr. Robotnik (Pride), Envy the Dog, Lust the Monkey, Metallix (Jealousy), Ash Mongoose (Greed), and Naugas (unknown sin name).

Mustang: Robotnik and Naugas have been causing a lot of terror, lately. Even breaking the Freedom Fighter teams up, and having countless attacks in New Mobotropolis. Not only that but they saw Envy on the Death Egg about a week ago. (And the busty one is Lust, I better not show Havoc this or else he'll keep looking at her boobs. I couldn't imagine what he would look like.)

Mustang imagines Havoc the Meerkat while looking happy and having a nosebleed.

Havoc (Imagination): I'M SORRY COLONEL MUSTANG, BUT I CAN'T HELP IT!! I LOVE BIG BOOBS!!

Mustang: (Sigh...) (He's always been a sucker for big boobs...)

Li Yuen: Homunculi, do they really exist?

Mustang: It seems that Mina's ex-boyfriend also known as Greed ran away. We don't even know where he is now. We could eventually meet up with Dr. Marcoh again.

Ross: However if I consider all of this, the results of my examination is that... I have nothing to do with this Philosopher's Stone, Chaos Emeralds, or anything. Why did I have to get swept up into all of this.

Mustang: Well Maria Ross, looks like you're innocent then.

Ross: How obvious?

Edward: Colonel?

Mustang: Yes, Fullmetal?

Edward: Who was the other General who got killed?

Mustang walks away and the others follow except for Edward Elric and Kahn who keeps looking at the picture of Lust.

Edward: DAMN IT COLONEL!! YOU DON'T TELL ME ANYTHING!!

Edward turns around and sees Monkey Kahn looking at the picture of Lust.

Edward: Kahn...? Kahn...? Kahn are you okay?

Edward: Why are you looking at the picture of her? You know she's evil.

Kahn punches Edward.

Kahn: She's not evil! She looks like that woman that I saw before!

Edward: Who?!

Kahn: I don't remember a lot that's happen... All I remember was the Ishballan Invasion... I bet Dr. Robotnik took all the memories of me involving that lady and deleted it by the time I was made into a cyborg. 

Edward gets up.

Edward: So you're Ishballan...

Kahn: I heard that you and that Black Fox are State Alchemists for the Amestris military. I remember the trigger for the war was this lady killing a child. Do you understand what are the motives for changing history, Edward. However I'm not going to kill you nor Mustang. I'm sorry for punching you.

Edward: That's fine. I know very well the hatred the Ishballans are holding towards Amestris.

Kahn: I remember we Ishballans were all dispossessed and chased to various hiding areas around Mobius, and now the Dark Egg Legion could be after them too. Don't expect us to simply forgive your peers.

Edward: Then why did you punch me and decided not to kill me nor Mustang?! You hate me and my peers, right?!

Kahn: I do know that not all Amestrians are evil thugs. I heard that lives have been saved by some people.

Edward: Eh...

Kahn: Many Ishballans suffered mortal injuries during the Rebellion, many of them were saved by Amestrian doctors. For what happened to Ishbal and such, honestly most Ishballans bear hatred towards those military scums like you, however... Many of those Ishballans that are able to live to this day is all because of those doctors, so I don't completely hate those Amestrian people.

Edward: Speaking of which... I know a pair of married doctors who went to Ishbal during the Rebellion. Are those the "Rockbells" that you're talking about?

Kahn: The Rockbells? Why of course, I have heard that anyone who received their aid knew those doctors. Many Ishballans always wanted to express their own gratitude towards them.

Edward: Is that so? Uncle and Auntie Rockbell...

Kahn: Even when the Rebellion worsened with the command to exterminate us Ishballans, they never left that country and stayed until their final moments saving people.

Edward: What was their final moments like?

Kahn: ... The Rockbell couple... They just got done treating all of the patients and a few State Alchemists appeared. They were executed by one of the State Alchemists, who has been ordered to do so.

Edward: Do you know who really did this and where he is?

Kahn: I was temporarily dead at the time and most of the Ishballans never got to see it, all we know that it was a State Alchemist who did this.

Edward: Is that so...

Edward walks to the room where Colonel Mustang is at while Monkey Kahn stays.

Edward: Well I'm going to go meet up with the Colonel, are you coming?

Kahn: I'm just going to stay here, but if you have a chance, could you please visit the Rockbell couple's grave for us Ishballans to express our thanks and to apologize.

Edward: I understand. 

Later in the room, where everybody except Monkey Kahn were gathered while they're talking about this mysterious grey Echidna who wore a black trench coat and the zombified looking Echidna with him that Edward saw in Resembool.

Edward: That man was able to use alchemy by simply clapping his hands together. Just like me.

Mustang: Mysterious monsters, a mysterious transmutation circle, mysterious alchemist, mysterious clan member, and mysterious plans. One mystery after another.

Knuckles: Surely we can assume that he might have a connection to Dr. Finitevus and the Nocturnus Clan, even taking my own people...

Edward: I also found pieces of the crimson stone after Al and I defeated that mysterious Echidna monster. I don't know how... but he's got to be using the powers of the crimson stone and using the Echidnas on Angel Island for something.

Mustang then hears the telephone ring, then picks it up and put it on speaker. It was Riza Hawkeye the Fox.

Riza (Sound Only): Pardon me for interrupting, Colonel.

Mustang: What's the matter?

Riza (Sound Only): Lt. Havoc and I have just investigated the village of Bord'wan. It seems those monsters and Clansmen have appeared in the village.

Knuckles: What?!

Mustang: Are you serious?

Riza: Theie's no contact of any villager there, so details are sketchy.

Jace: We can't contact them...? Mustang!

Mustang: Hmm... I'm sure something has happened, but the military can't make a move on such scant information.

Vector: Huh?! You're not going to send anyone out to help?!

Mustang: I'm only saying that we can't make an ordeal out of it. I'm not going to leave them hanging.

Knuckles: Looks like I'm going to Bord'wan, even if it means saving my people, Jace, let's go.

Mustang: Good. But you're going to need more back up. Take Mighty, Ray, and Sticks with you too.

Edward: Wait, Colonel! Let me go too!

Mustang: You as well?

Vector: Listen, buddy. We don't got any complete grasp of the situation yet. It's going to be very risky.

Edward: Colonel, don't you see? I might find something about the Crimson Stones! Please! I've joined the military for about five years, just let me go with them!

Mustang: Hm. Alchemy does seem to play a part in all this. Perhaps sending Fullmetal with you guys as well isn't such nonsense after all.

Vector: But...!

Knuckles: Relax, Vector. He can come with us. As long as he can cooperate.

Edward cheers up.

Edward: ALL RIGHT!! WOO-HOO!!

Knuckles: But you have to be on your best behavior, Edward. You got it?

Li Yuen: I guess this means goodbye to you guys then and don't worry about Maria Ross. I will have my own family taking care of her necessities of life.

Armstrong: How about we just only let her parents know in advance that she's safe?

Ross: No. In the unlikely event that my parents find out that I am alive, if they leak that out, then we wouldn't be able to repair the damage done. Even though I wish to save them from the heart-breaking days of thinking that they have a daughter who is declared to be a murderer, I see no way of doing so.

Armstrong: Even Sgt. Brosh has fallen into depression over this. Should I tell him as well?

Ross: No, please! The Sgt. isn't able to tell a lie to save his life, you can't tell him that either!

Edward: Ha ha...

Armstrong: Well you seem to be in good spirits.

Ross talks to Mustang.

Ross: Colonel Mustang?

Mustang: Yes.

Ross: I am very grateful for you for being able to escape with my life. Thank you. If there is an emergency, please do not hesitate to call me back. To repay my debt of gratitude, when that time comes, the life that I am hanging on to, can be made use of doing something!

Mustang: We will also be working to achieve the day when we can greet your return to our country with open arms.

Maria Ross turns around and pulls out her hand to Edward.

Ross: Edward. Keep your spirits up.

Edward and Ross handshake.

Edward: I owe you a slap in the face... I guess I won't be returning you the favor then.

Ross: Until next time, eh.

Knuckles: Let's get going, Edward.

Edward: Alright until next time.

Knuckles, Jace, Edward, Mighty, Ray, and Sticks leave to go to Bord'wan.

In Bord'wan, Knuckles, Jace, Edward, Mighty, Ray, and Sticks walk up to the town.

Mighty: Is this really Bord'wan...?

Knuckles: What the hell happened here? The town looks completely trashed.

Sticks: It looks like we're walking through a ghost town.

The heroes see Riza Hawkeye the Fox checking the town. They all run up to her.

Edward: Lt. Hawkeye!!

Jace: Looks like we came across to you already, Riza. Where's Havoc?

Riza: We split up to investigate, I don't know where he is?

Jace: Can you contact him?

Riza: There's no signal so it's impossible to contact him.

Edward: Well look at you being brave while investigating all by yourself in the village. You must be one brave girl, Lt. Hawkeye. 

Hawkeye points the gun at Edward, while the others are shocked.

Edward: DAHAH!!

Knuckles: IDIOT!! YOU JUST INSULTED HER!!

Edward: HEY I'M SORRY!! PUT THAT DOWN LIEUTENANT!! I DIDN'T MEAN TO INSULT YOU IN EITHER WAY!! I SWEAR!!

Edward ducks his head while Riza shoots.

Edward: AH!! AH!! AH!! AHH!! AH!! AH!!

A blackened monster falls down behind Ed.

Edward: UHHHH!!

Knuckles smacks Edward behind the head.

Knuckles: STUPID!! 

Edward: OW!!

Knuckles: SHE DIDN'T KILL YOU IT WAS THAT CREATURE BEHIND YOU!! DIDN'T YOU HEAR IT?!

Edward: (huffs and puffs quietly) Thanks Knuckles, I needed that... 

Knuckles: Whatever, just look behind you.

Edward and everyone else look at the dead monster on the ground. They then hear weird walking noises.

Everyone:...

They see the monsters with the Nocturnus Clan marks on their chests while they are all surrounding the heroes.

Ray: We're surrounded!

Mighty: Why can't they make all these noises when they're hiding?!

Riza: Looks like we're gonna have to get ready for a fight!

Knuckles: Agree! Let's go!

Edward uses his alchemy on the ground and makes spikes off the ground, killing some monsters. Riza uses two pistols shooting a bunch of monsters while Knuckles and Mighty tackle the monsters with their fists. Ray flies around and speeds knocking the monsters down. Sticks throws her boomerang towards the monsters, decapitating them. Jace then shocks the monsters, disintegrating them. The fight continues until Jace disintegrates the last monster in the area.

After the monsters were defeated, the heroes regroup. 

Knuckles: I don't want to believe this... Those monsters were the ones... or the things... responsible?

Edward: Brrr... And to think this could've happened in Resembool too...

Riza: There's no time to waste. We have to find Lt. Havoc.

Everyone hears a roar.

Sticks: Did anybody hear that roar?

Jace: I heard it too?

Mighty: So did I!

Ray: Same here!

Edward: Where did that roar come from?

Jace: There's a good chance that there's more of them along the way. Stay sharp, guys.

The heroes keep on walking until they see a transmutation circle. 

Edward: Wait a minute. I've seen this transmutation circle like this before.

Knuckles: Where?

Edward: I've seen one just like this in the caves at Resembool a year ago.

They then see blood around the transmutation circle.

Riza: There's blood everywhere...

Knuckles: These bloodstains look... Oh no. You don't think...

Edward: Yeah, if it's really blood.

Knuckles: Then there must be a son of a bitch out there who transmuted a whole bunch of villagers into something!

Sticks: Shh. Quiet.

They hear the roar again.

Jace: There it is again! That roar!

They hear more action going on.

Mighty: Huh?! It sounds like gunshots.

Riza: There must be survivors. Come on, guys!

The heroes run to the area where they hear the roar and the gunshots, but on their way, they saw a burning house.

Jace: I think the gunshots came from around here.

Sticks: This house looks like it just started burning a minute ago.

Knuckles: Houses don't randomly catch on fire, Sticks. This must be the work of someone or something.

Riza: And that "something" is bound to be huge, powerful, and lurking nearby... Just our luck.

Ray: Y-you think that roar we've been hearing came from...

Riza: Don't conjecture. All that we can do right now is to stay alert.

Edward points out to a broken bridge to everyone.

Edward: Hey guys, come look at this.

They all walk up to the broken bridge.

Jace: The bridge is out...

Riza: Look the wind's blowing dust off the surface of the bridge. Someone must have cut this a few minutes ago...

Knuckles and Ray step in.

Knuckles: Step back, I can glide over the bridge.

Ray: I'm a flying squirrel, so I sure can fly over this.

Knuckles glides over the bridge and Ray flies over it.

Knuckles: Edward! Can you transmute the bridge so that everyone can get across?!

Edward steps near the edge, claps and touches the ground then makes a bridge. The rest of the heroes walk across the bridge that Edward transmuted. Then they proceed until they see a house that looks abandon.

Mighty: Hey, look at this house.

Edward: This far away from the village? It's not in very good shape.

Knuckles: But nothing's broken. Maybe this place was too far away for those monsters to find.

Sticks: Maybe there's somebody inside.
 
Jace: That may be possible. Let's go in and have a look.

They all walk inside the house and walked into a room that looks like a library.

Edward: Hello? Anybody home? Stupid question, I guess.

Riza: Either they already escaped or...

Jace looks at something on the desk.

Jace: Hey, guys. Check this out.

They all look at the picture of the monsters.

Knuckles: What the hell?

Jace: They look like the monsters we just saw earlier, don't you think?

Riza: It's not just that picture... All the books in here seem to be about those creatures.

Edward: This is some heavy-duty research material we have here.

Mighty: Monster research? You don't think the person living here created them?

Edward: No, I wouldn't say that. I don't see any books on alchemy, the Crimson Stone, nor Chaos Energy lying around. 

Knuckles: I think the research wasn't so much about making the monsters, but more about their roots or ancient history.

Jace: Monster history...?

Sticks looks at the clues she found.

Sticks: Hey there's more clues I've found. Come here.

They all gather around the clues.

Knuckles: Alright, Sticks let me read.

Sticks: Okay.

Knuckles reads the reference books.

Knuckles: "The Spire of Lebis". This spire, which certified leadership, was passed down through generations of Lebis's royalty. The spire was ornamented with distinct patterns and ancient runes. Both the latest science of the day and the grand arcanum were employed in its creation. The spire functioned as a key to the palace.                                          

"The Civilization of Lebis". Lebis was an ancient civilization which flourished several hundred years ago, with the royal capital of Siam-Sid as its center. It's glory lasted for many years. Lebis's royalty created golems through the grand arcanum. This resulted in the civilization's rapid development.

"The Grand Arcanum of Lebis" Lebis's prosperity was a direct result of the grand arcanum, which enabled the creation of golems. It also made for advances in the culture's architecture, military, waterworks, and agriculture. Ironically, it was the same grand arcanum that brought this glory to a sudden and tragic end. 

Knuckles then takes a look at the diary.

Knuckles: That's all the reference books, now to the diary.

Edward: The diary looks awfully old. I wonder if it belongs to whoever lives here. 

Knuckles reads the diary.

Knuckles: My studies on Lebis being today. The road ahead may be long, but I hope to make archaeological history through my findings. Met a traveling alchemist. Interested in Lebis's arcane art of golems, he says. Never seen a man with eyes more determined and sad, really. On the road with the alchemist, Crowley. His stories are facinating, for I have no knowledge of alchemy training. Crowley finally told me why he is interested in the golem arts. Now I know what he hides behind those sad eyes of his... We have solved the mystery behind the arcane art of golems. These findings should prove relevant to not only archaeology, but to alchemy as well.  I have found happiness. For Crowley, for me, and for her. Is that the way you wanted it? Is that really what you were looking for? Snap out of it, Crowley...!

Knuckles flips the page of the diary only seeing one Echidna while the one part of the picture which must be his friend is cut out.

Edward: Look... This picture was stuck between the pages. It looks as old as the diary.

Sticks: Do you think the guy in this picture is the owner of this house?

Jace: It must be that traveling man that I was talking about, but we'll go on that assumption for now.

Knuckles keeps reading more reference books.

Knuckles: "Golems: Overview". A creation of the grand arcanum of Lebis, originally intended to be used as slaves. The primary ingredient was soil, making a golem's body as black as lead. They seemed to possess a certain level of intelligence, with an ability to grasp basic human speech.

"Golems: Characteristics". Different types of golems could be made for various applications. The life of a golem could last just a few hours to several years. However, the golem would eventually revert back to soil.

Knuckles is done reading as they all hear a roar and gunshots coming from the door closest to them. 

Jace: That roar again!

Edward: That came from right outside!

Knuckles: Those gunshots... There must be somebody putting up a fight! Let's get going, guys!

The heroes run out of the house and right towards the cemetery where they see Havoc the Meerkat and an Echidna with the brown hat, jacket, and has a mustache as they are fighting against a Marauder Scout along with a golem that looks like the Biolizard.

Knuckles: That thing! It looks like the monster we saw in the space colony!

Mighty: There's a masked guy right there! That must be one of Nocturnus Clan soldiers. 

Edward: And there's Lt. Havoc!

Jace: It's that traveling man that I was talking about! He's right next to him! 

Riza: Rescuing the civilian takes priority! 

Knuckles: Which means we're going to take out that beast! It's clobberin time, guys!

Riza: WAIT!!

Edward: Don't worry, Lt. Hawkeye. You, Sticks, and Ray keep an eye on those two!

Knuckles, Jace, Edward, and Mighty go up to face the creature and the Marauder Scout.

Edward: Hey! Haven't you heard size doesn't matter ya stupid scout?! Pay attention to us and we'll show ya what we mean! 

Marauder Scout: Oh me?! I'm just doing my business here! And I'm about to show you what I mean when people get in my way! This creature will slaughter you in seconds!

Mighty: Looks like you got their attention, Ed! 

Edward uses his alchemy to summon a canon ball then hits the monster, making the Marauder Scout jump off. Knuckles, Jace, and Mighty run up to deal with the monster, who is recovering from Edward's canon ball attack.

Edward: This fight is between you and me, you freaky looking thing!

Marauder Scout: Very well then, bring it on!

???: Wait!

Everyone in the scene sees somebody rising up like mud from the ground, it was an Echidna who is grey and wears a black trench coat. 

Marauder Scout: Sir? What are you doing here?

The grey Echidna doesn't answer the Scout and looks at the heroes in the scene including Knuckles, Jace, and Mighty, who were fighting the monster. 

Edward: ( I remember this guy. This guy is the one I saw in Resembool over a year ago.)

The other Echidna is surprised to see this grey Echidna and watches Edward confronting him. Knuckles runs to the mysterious man as well.

Edward: So your the one who did this to the village, aren't you?

Knuckles: And I bet you're involved in Albion to take my people as well, huh?

Edward: And what about Resembool? Weren't you trying to do the same thing too?

Knuckles: What is your purpose for all of this in helping Finitevus?!

Edward: What was that transmutation circle for?! 

???: I had a feeling that I would meet the Guardian of Angel Island, someday. Even meeting up with this alchemist too, again.

Knuckles: Dammit, pal! You, Thrash, and Finitevus have a bad habit about being cryptic!!

Edward transmutes his automail into a knife, then Edward and Knuckles charge to attack the mysterious Echidna.

Jace: WAIT YOU TWO!!

???: No circles... Impressive, young alchemist.

The mysterious Echidna transmutes the ground creating vines to attack Knuckles and Edward. Edward transmutes a wall to block the vine attack. Knuckles dodges the vines and punches them off with his fists. Edward and Knuckles jump and attack the mysterious Echidna. Knuckles and Edward throw a punch at the mysterious Echidna, who block their punches with his hand.

???: Interesting, I'm you two are like me.

Knuckles and Edward look shocked then the mysterious Echidna knees the both of them, flying them back.

Knuckles: UGH!!

Edward: GAHHH!!

Mighty: Knuckles, Edward!

Mighty and Jace run up to Knuckles and Edward.

???: You should've realize you have no right to stop us.

The mysterious Echidna claps his hands and is about to attack the heroes, but the other Echidna shouts his name.

??? 2: Crowley!!

Crowley stops and see the other Echidna, while he's guarded by Riza, Havoc, Sticks, and Ray.

Arlen: That's you, isn't it? I knew it! There could be no mistaking you! Don't you recognize me, it's me! It's Arlen! I can't believe this! Crowley?

Crowley: No...

Arlen: ...

Crowley: The Arlen I know was not a wasn't a merely old weak fool like you.

Arlen: What do you mean?! You're talking nonsense! How many years do you think it's been?! How come you still look so young?! What happened to you?!

The Marauder Scout talks to Crowley.

Marauder Scout: Sir, I think we should leave.

Crowley retreats by melting away.

Arlen: Crowley! 

Edward: There he goes again, he just melted away.

The Marauder Scout touches his watch to warp away.

Marauder Scout: This fight here isn't over yet, we still have our pet to slaughter you. Farewell.

The Marauder Scout warps away.

The monster knocks Mighty by surprise.

Ray: MIGHTY!!

The monster: ROAARRRRRRR!!!!

Knuckles: Okay, it's time to take you down.

Knuckles punches the monster in the face and lands. The monster attacks Knuckles, but uses his strength to hold the monsters attack. A tree is thrown at the monster. The monster then sees that it's Mighty. Knuckles keeps punching the monster while Mighty keeps throwing objects at it. Jace watches the fight and gets his lightning attack ready. Edward joins in by using his automail knife to slice and hurt the monster. Jace then steps in and strikes lightning at the monster. The monster is dying from the lightning. Eventually, the monster gets disintegrated. 

Edward: Well, that takes care of that!

Mighty: Whew, Looks like nobody got hurt. What a relief.

Edward: All in the day's work.

Jace: Huh?

Everyone looks at Jace and Knuckles picking some pieces.

Edward: Jace? Knuckles?

Edward and Mighty walk up to Jace and Knuckles.

Edward: There they are again... More pieces of the crimson stone.

Knuckles: Monsters created by the arcane arts and pieces of the crimson stone... What's the connection...?

Jace: What are monsters from an ancient civilization doing in our time, anyway?

Knuckles: ...Answers! I need answers!

Riza, Ray, Sticks, and Arlen all look at Havoc sitting on the ground to smoke.

Riza: You're safe now, Lt. Havoc. So how are you fairing after all that?

Ray: You alright, dude?

Havoc looks up with an unhappy expression.

Havoc: Does it look like I'm alright? We have to go to New Mobotropolis to aide in the war with Mustache Big Ass Mcgee and that creepy looking old wizard. Then I have to investigate the village as part of the Guardian of Angel Island's plans. Do me a favor and tell the Colonel to double my salary, will ya. I mean for god sake. How come no one ever tells me how dangerous these missions are going to be?

Riza, Ray, and Sticks smile. Havoc blows and puffs with his cigarette. 

Riza: Well anyway... Lt. Havoc, who's this with you? 

Havoc introduces to Arlen the Echidna.

Havoc: Oh right. This is Mr. Arlen Glostner, a traveler who's a villager, I had taken him into protective custody. 

Riza, Ray, and Sticks introduce themselves to Arlen.

Ray: Nice to meet you, Arlen. My name is Ray the Flying Squirrel from the Chaotix.

Sticks: Good to see you too. My name is Sticks the Badger, new member of the Chaotix.

Riza: Riza Hawkeye from East Headquarters in Central, Amestris. Glad to see that you're alright, Mr. Glostner.

Arlen: (Sigh) Hogswallow! Alright?! Does anything about this situation seem "alright" to you? 

Riza: Are there any other survivors?

Arlen: I don't know... That's unlikely. Everyone's gone except me. Crowley, you fool... What have you done...?

Knuckles, Jace, Mighty, and Edward walk up to Arlen, Riza, Ray, Sticks, and Havoc.

Edward: Hey! Gramps! 

Arlen: ...Eh? 

Edward: Yeah, you! Sounds like you knew that guy by name. Am I wrong?

Knuckles: Can you explain who this man is?

Edward: And don't waste our time either.

Arlen: It seems like the Guardian of Angel Island is here and one of the sons of Queen Aleena of Christmas Island. The other one seems not so hot-headed, but who the hell is this tactless little punk?

Riza: This is Knuckles the Echidna, the one next to him is the brother of the Hero of Mobius, Jace the Hedgehog, the Fullmetal Alchemist, Edward Elric the Dog, and then there's Mighty the Armadillo.

Arlen: Wait, Edward Elric...? An alchemist...?

Knuckles: Hurry up and give us the information!

Edward: This guy appears out of nowhere and then melts away! That guy's not exactly normal. Who is he?!

Arlen: Did they do something to you, kids?

Knuckles: So you do know him, right?!

Edward: C'mon, old man!

Knuckles: Tell us!

Edward: Please! 

Arlen: Whatever he did sounds serious... Well, ain't no point in standing around out here, if you wanna talk, let's go to my house, it's right there. Follow me.

They then go to Arlen's house to talk in his library room.

Edward: Hold it, Gramps. Is this your place? All these books belong to you?

Arlen: Course they do! I've been an archaeologist for more than fifty years, believe it or not.

Sticks is curious that she tries to touch an object that belongs to Arlen, but Arlen shouts at her.

Arlen: Hey, girl! Keep your clumsy hands off my stuff, you hear?

Sticks: Um... So does archaeology include the stuff of those monsters, too?

Arlen: Monsters? Oh, you must mean the golems. Of course. The history of Lebis can't be told without them. What you guys are calling monsters are actually golems, living dolls created through the grand arcanum of Lebis.

Jace: Living dolls?

Arlen: That's right. The grand arcanum enabled them to breathe life into what were actually just dolls made out of mud.

Ray: "Breathe life into...?"

Mighty: How is that possible?!

Arlen: Oh it actually is with the grand arcanum of Lebis. It's what's better known as alchemy today. So Edward, you said that you were an alchemist. Well, golems were born through ancient alchemy, so...

Edward: You have a point old man, I'm beginning to see now...

Knuckles: So that guy, we just saw out there is the lunatic who's making all these creatures. And yet he must be involved with the Nocturnus Clan and Finitevus in stealing my people, including those villagers. Am I right, Geezer?

Arlen: Hmph. The Guardian and the alchemist having steel traps. Well, you're right. You want to know about him? He's an Echidna, like us. And an alchemist like Edward. His name is Jack Crowley. Him and I were best friends, studying Lebisic civilization together more than fifty years ago.

Edward and Knuckles: Jack Crowley...

Jace: Wait... Fifty years ago? But it looks like...

Arlen: Yeah, he has hardly aged. That's one detail I can't figure out...

Riza: Any possibility it was a stranger that just happened to look like him?

Mighty: Come to think of it, it seemed like that guy didn't recognize you.

Arlen: I know him better than anyone else. That was Crowley, no doubt about it.

Knuckles: Well it's no use arguing over whether that guy was really your buddy or not. What I want to know is his purpose.

Arlen: And why are punks like you so interested, anyways? What's this have to do with any of you?

Edward: I saw him in my hometown of Resembool over a year ago. He may have been trying to do the same thing there that he did here.

Knuckles: There's even an Echidna lady from the Nocturnus Clan which she told me earlier about Lebis, which also means that this guy might be involved into stealing my people.

Riza: That man may be responsible for stealing or yet murdering civilians in this village. He may be involved in other cases too.

Knuckles: I know that he may be in Lebis but where in Lebis?

Arlen: Where to find Crowley and those missing Echidnas... Hmph, he may still be in Siam-Sid for all I know.

Jace: Siam-Sid?

Arlen: That's the royal capital of Lebis. Course, it's been gone for centuries. Ain't nothing there but ruins now.

Knuckles: So Siam-Sid's our best bet, huh? Well?

Riza: That'll be our next stop. Mr. Glostner, could you lead us to Siam-Sid?

Arlen: You guys are serious about this? Hmph, you whippersnappers may be the best chance that's come around yet... Fine. I'll take you guys there. I actually want to see Crowley, too. Just one more time... I've got to stop him... It's my fault he became this way...

Edward: Huh? Gramps are you alright?

Arlen: Alright. Let's go then. It ain't that far from here to Siam-Sid.

Havoc: Um, Lt. Hawkeye? What should I do?

Riza: We may be rescuing the Echidnas and he have a maximum amount. So there's no need for you to come. I want you to report our plans to the Colonel and Vector.

Havoc: Yes, ma'am! (Thank God, I could finally rest for now.)


Edward: (Let's hope that I could find a clue about getting Al and I our bodies back...)
